About Chili Pepper, Whole Red
Chili peppers, also known as chilli, chillie or chile, are the bright red fruit of the genus Capsicum.
Originally native to the Americas, red Chili peppers are potentially the "hottest" peppers available. They are the main ingredient in self-defense pepper spray and the spicy Thai condiment, Sriracha sauce.
Red Chile peppers are common in Mexican and Central American cooking, as well as in Chinese, Hungarian and Nigerian cuisines.
Often also spelled Chile, Chilli, Chille.
